How Far Is Too Far? AI

I saw a YouTube video the other day purportedly by RDJ our very own Tony Stark/Ironman titled same as mine and in it I was expecting them to find at least a way or ways for that matter of alleviating my fears (our fears if I’m to include yours of course) with what would be said in the video but somehow that wasn’t done but instead I watched people telling me about how they were making AI clones of individuals and then having AI babies that were being taught from babyhood and then how with AIs even people without limbs can be given really reactive prosthetic limbs that are almost as good as the real thing. Also there was a lady robotics that spoke about the good AIs can help humanity achieve, all of which were never in contention in the first place. No one argued that there weren’t good things that AIs could do for us but, don’t get me wrong I am very excited by the whole concept too and I believe that given all the potential dangers that may come with opening the Pandora’s box that artificial� intelligence has obviously become, I’d rather we have opened it and there isn’t any going back on it, it’s open it’s open there’s only working with the result we have. That not withstanding we have to lay down rules and regulations on how we move forward so that we don’t create that which will cause our own destruction.

Did you know that there are AIs being taught to read human minds now? Well the practicality is so that people in wheelchairs and others with such inabilities may be able to control the chairs or whatever else they have to control even though they may not have limbs but control them with their minds, I like it and then I think about it again and, hmm. Isn’t this further implicating the issues? Now they can even read our minds and make video calls to our friends and family members without them realizing this are AIs speaking with them because they seem so real and then be able to read the minds of others. We really do need to start putting in place things that we may be able to fall back on when the chicks sort of come home to roost. You see in my opinion AIs if we don’t start doing things about it, now that it’s not self aware yet, might play out like a man keeping a lion as a pet, growing up the lion cub will look at the man as unattainable even though to its senses this thing ( how I perceive animals might see all other animals including humans just like we do see them too.) really smells good and would be nice to taste of it, but because the owner is still putty training it, it will find that the thing is causing it pain whenever it wants to do anything the human doesn’t like largely because the human is much larger than it is.

There comes a time when the lion becomes larger but because it has become used to the human it sees it as family of sort, but on a day it becomes very hungry maybe because the human forgets to feed it, because he’s become too very busy after all it happens with even your children, sometimes you forget but with children they cry out or come tell you they are hungry. Have you ever wondered to give it a thought what the child or children would have done while it was trying to sate its hunger? Some would have tried eating some of the things around it only to discover that they don’t taste like what it would like to eat or some outrightly just don’t have a taste and that’s before the child finally has to make it loud for you to realize it’s position of hunger. Now imagine an animal that may not realize the possibility of crying or calling out to you that it was hungry and then the owner or one of his family members come around and in anger the animal swipes at the human and realizes that the human leaks but if it were human he or she would run to the sink to wash off its hands but being a cat the only way it knows to clean itself up is by licking its hands, so it does that naturally only to find it taste very good and then it remembers the delicious smell it always wanted to find out, and!!!

Also reminds me of a movie titled bright where we had a reverse of Clark Kent and in this one he was sent to earth to terrorize and rule it and at first he thought himself human and was doing everything like every other human was but the day he discovered he was stronger than the other humans he killed everyone that ever hurt him with the mother of the girl he had a crush on as the first victim and then it’s adopted parents (who happened to be the only people that know how it could be killed) maybe you should try and see the movie yourself and let’s see your conclusion too. How do we go about doing this? I have not the slightest iota of an idea but like you know there’s a movie and this one is named iRobot, you know the one starring Will Smith. In which laws had been written into the codes/ programs of the AI. Even though as it so happened in the movie the hive mind went against the laws and intended to as usual destroy mankind but for the sacrifice made by one of the creators of the robots in both creating a robot that can go against the logics of the hive mind and ultimately his own life so that the main character of the movie can come investigate into his death and that may lead to the discovery of other things. I doubt very much that scenario can play out in real life because there’s a very real chance the creator would rather most likely not want to die nor would he want to soil his name by having his creation becoming something that could take the lives of humans and would rather cover it up than have someone look into his affairs or make it public so he doesn’t get ruined.

This is because most times this so called creators would rather coverup including killing people that may know about their missteps than let everyone know about it not realizing that this most likely are the people that may know how to deal with the issues when they get out of hand. Yeah I’m sure you’re thinking truth will always out, true, but sometimes it’s after evil has gone beyond stopping that it outs and don’t get me into the argument that good will always win because it’s not always true, forget what Hollywood and the other movies have put into our heads, in real life good doesn’t always trump or when it does sometimes evil had done too much havoc that the survivors won’t know where to start again. So why don’t we start putting things in place now, maybe start a group of think tank that will do just that and we won’t have to be caught unawares because as much as we are excited to discover new things and new ways of doing things let us not forget the safety of our future because if we fail to put them in place now, they may be born into a world that is all about that and know no other way and because of that not see any other way of doing things until it gets too late. This seems too gloomy I’m sure you’d say, because even my writing seems so to even me so I promise I won’t be writing anything like this at least in a very long time and since I don’t want to bore you too much I’m keeping it short. After all there’s the adage that says, “A word is enough for the wise because when he ingests it, it becomes a sentence or more.”
